The competition format to determine the winner of the championship shall     consist of a complete round robin draw involving all of the teams eligible for the competition, followed by an elimination type play-off.  All games will be ten (10) ends duration, but if tied at that point will continue for extra ends until a winner is declared.

The play-off draw shall be a four team Page System play-off as set down by the local  Curling Association for the local Curling Championships or a three team sudden death elimination type, except where more than three teams are tied for first place.  In the latter event the draw would be increased to accommodate those teams tied for first place as required.   The choice of play-off format will be conveyed to the skips of the competing teams by the Host Committee prior to commencement of the  Police curling Championships.

In the event teams are tied (number of wins) for a play-off position at the conclusion of Round Robin play: (a) The record of the past Round Robin of those teams involved in the tie shall be used to determine ranking or position in the play-off draw and failing that, (b) The skips of those teams involved in the tie shall draw lots to determine their team's position, (c) At no time shall any team tied for the final play-off position be eliminated other than by playing an extra series game,  (d) The ranking formula shall be used to determine position in the extra series games as would be the case to determine position in the play-off draw.
